Welcome to the WCTC Foundation Scholarship Portal! The portal provides information on Foundation scholarships available to WCTC students.

What is a foundation scholarship?
The foundation scholarship uses one application to connect students will a pool of internal scholarship opportunities. These scholarships derive from generous donors who see the potential in our WCTC students. Your application is evaluated to determine if you are a good match for the opportunities below. Scholarships range from $250 – $1000.
Requirements:

• WCTC Students must be admitted to a certificate, technical diploma, or associate degree program.
• (Undeclared students will not be reviewed.)
• Enrolled in 6 credits or more for upcoming semester.
• Cumulative 2.0 GPA
• Essay Questions (75 to 500 words)
• References (Recommended not required)

Application Process:

• Login into Academic Works using your myWCTC login information.
• Complete the General Application. (This can be saved and continued later.)
• Application will be reviewed by decision makers.
• Communication will be sent on Approval/Denial along with next steps.

How can I set myself apart from other applications?

• Essay Questions
  Your essay is where you will share your story and shows decision makers that you are a “good investment”. These scholarships are funded by local companies looking to invest in the future of our community. This is where you will want to share your educational and career goals to explain why you deserve the opportunity more than the next applicant.

• References
  While references are not required, they provide the decision makers someone who can speak on your behalf. You will want to select 2-3 references. (Please make sure to reach out to references prior to listing them in application.) Here are some suggestions on who to use as a reference:
  If you are a current student, one should be a previous teacher/instructor at WCTC and/or employer if applicable.
  If you are a new student, one should be a previous teacher/counselor and/or employer.

2026-27 Application Deadlines
Submit your completed 2026-27 WCTC Foundation Scholarship application as soon as possible to be considered as a candidate. Applications submitted by August 31, 2026, will be automatically considered for both Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 scholarships. Applications submitted after August 31, 2026, will only be considered for Spring 2027 scholarships.
