Helen M. Ring Memorial Scholarship

The Helen M. Ring Scholarship is designed to honor her love of baking and assist a current student in pursing a career in baking. Student applicants can be from a range of backgrounds/interests whether they desire to work in a commercial bakery, share baking information as an educator, author baking materials or use baking as a platform for other business endeavors. A genuine desire to learn and enthusiasm for baking is key!

Candidates should be enrolled in a class within the Baking/Pastry, Baking/Pastry Production or Baking/Pastry Management certificate or degree program.

Scholarship recipients should receive the award to cover a one credit class (and books/supplies) in which they are currently enrolled including:

• Artisan Breads
• Breads and Rolls
• Cookies, Bars and Petition Fours
• Pies, Tarts, Fillings
• Principals of Baking
• Science of Baking
